The final curtain for?Equivocation?came down around 10:45pm last night. If you saw the show, you know how breathtaking the scenic painting, depicting the London city-scape, was. Here’s just a small glimpse of it, as shot?by Redwood Curtain’s executive director Peggy Metzger just before the strike crew started to paint over it this morning.
“It will be sad to paint over this extraordinary scenic painting,” said Metzger as she posted the?photo on Facebook. “But theatre is ephemeral….on to the next!”
Within just a couple hours of posting that photo, the painting that had once filled the stage was nearly gone.
So,?what’s?next? Construction begins this week on the set for?Other Desert Cities, which begins performances October 30.
