A warm and thoughtful romantic comedy by Pulitzer Prize Winner Alfred Uhry, The Last Night of Ballyhoo won the 1997 Tony Award for Best Play. It is set in Atlanta in December of 1939, when Gone With The Wind is having its world premiere and Hitler is invading Poland, but Lala Levy is more concerned with who will be escorting her to Ballyhoo, the premier social event of the year for Atlanta’s Jewish elite.
