Since early December the cast/writers of Redwood Curtain’s eighth annual radio show,?Leaps & ZOUNDS! have been hard at work creating and rehearsing?for the 2015 show.

We can’t tell you anything about what they’re talking or singing about. You’ll have to come to the show, or listen on KHUM, to find out what this talented bunch are cooking up.?The show does promise to be full of the hilarity Humboldt County residents have come to expect from this annual tradition. Over the coming weeks, in advance of the show, we’ll be talking to the cast members to find out why the love being involved with this unique show.

Continuing its tradition of quality performances, on January 24 Redwood Curtain Theatre is launching its seventeenth spectacular season with its EIGHTH annual, zany and zealous original live radio show, Leaps and ZOUNDS!
“Think Prairie Home Companion meets Saturday Night Live – with a Humboldt County twist!” said RC Artistic Director Clint Rebik. “It’s skits and music and corny jokes. New and more hilarious every year! People love The show, which will be broadcast live on KHUM 104.3, is an original, Humboldt-inspired variety show. Leaps and ZOUNDS! — featuring the critically acclaimed talents of Redwood Curtain writers and actors, including James Floss, Bonnie Halverson, Ron Halverson, and Terry Desch, and chanteuse Christina Jioras— will be broadcast from the Sapphire Palace at the Blue Lake Casino. Live audience members will enjoy a no-host bar, hors d’oeuvres, and catered dinner before the show begins.
“It’s one of my favorite nights of the year!” added RC Executive Director Peggy Metzger. “So much laughter and celebration! We have some die-hards who have come to every Zounds and tell us they wouldn’t miss it! We’ve even been known to write some people into the show. It’s so much fun!”
Leaps and ZOUNDS! features live sound effects, musical numbers, and a host of local advertisers. The zany performance is also peppered with original sketches and new twists to spice up the night for the live audience
